What We Do.
EQUIP International is registered charity in Canada with a goal to rescue impoverished children in 3rd world nations. Equip is involved in a number of nations in providing superb facilities to alleviate systemic poverty and strengthen the family unit. EQUIP International has been rescuing impoverished children in Ethiopia for over 8 years. In 2013 we established our first elementary school in Nekemte with 60 children. Our school has grown to over 200 children and has received the coveted “Award of Excellence” from the Minister of Education. Our school deliberately reaches out to the most desperate and needy children of Ethiopia. Most children in our school come from households with income of less than $6. per month. In the fall of 2015 we opened a new facility in the heart of Nekemte, with capacity for expansion to over 400 children.
